Techniques in Phantasy Star IV: The End of the Millennium are magic-like abilities usable by player characters other than Wren, Demi, and Seth. Techniques expend the user's TP for various effects, such as damaging and weakening enemies, healing and strengthening allies, and teleporting the party to safety.
Damage techniques[]
Damage techniques deal damage that increases according to the user's mental stat, and decreases according to the target's mental defense stat. Damage techniques cannot randomly miss or get critical hits, but may do increased damage, reduced damage, or the minimum of 1 damage, due to elemental sensitivity.

Status infliction techniques[]
Status infliction techniques have a random miss chance, depending on the target's strength or mental stat. Their chance of hitting can be greatly increased or even reduced to zero, depending on the enemy's elemental sensitivity.
