Rafoie or Nafoi (Japanese: ????) is an advanced damage technique common to Phantasy Star games.

Phantasy Star II[]

In Phantasy Star II, Nafoi costs 12 TP to cast. It deals 109 to 149 damage to a single enemy, with a 90% chance to hit.
Rolf is the only player characters who can use nafoi. Rolf learns nafoi at level 14.
Phantasy Star IV[]
In Phantasy Star IV End of the Millenium, Nafoi costs 9 TP to cast dealing 209+ mental to a single enemy.
Phantasy Star Online series[]
Rafoie is an offensive technique of fire and is the first of the three advanced techniques. When cast it engulfs the target in a large ball of flame, damaging it and any other targets within its blast range. Higher technique levels increase the radius of the attack, as well as damage dealt.
Rafoie must have a target to deal any damage; a Rafoie that is cast without a target will do nothing.
Compared to Gifoie, Rafoie is much quicker to cast, but costs more TP and deals roughly the same, if not slightly less, damage.
Some monsters, such as Gi Gues, Dark Falz, and Chaos Sorcerers cast Rafoie.
Rafoie can be boosted with a Rafoie Merge or Red Merge.
