Ner (Japanese: シュネラ), known as Schneller in Japanese, is a support technique common to Phantasy Star games.

Etymology[]

シュネラ (shunera) is possibly derived from the German word "Schnell", an adjective or adverb meaning "hasty", "fast", or "quick". "Schneller" is the comparative adjective form of schnell which means "faster" or "quicker".

Effects[]

In Phantasy Star II, ner costs 2 TP to cast. It increases one ally's agility stat by 10 for the duration of the battle making them have a higher move priority. Repeated uses of ner stack.

Anna is the only character who can use ner. She learns ner at level 6.

Phantasy Star III[]

Although the technique that was localized with the name Ner in the English language version of Phantasy Star III: Generations of Doom has a similar effect, it is actually a different technique altogether. For more information on the version of Ner seen in Phantasy Star III, see Rising.
