Phantasy Star Wiki


Characters that play a minimal role in the story of Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis. These characters usually either make a single appearance, exist only to give the player objectives, client orders or tutorials, or act as a shopkeeper.

Aelio Town[]

Note: All of the NPCs in Aelio Town can no longer be interacted with after triggering the story cutscene in which the protagonist rests in Garoa's house in preparation for a feast.

Main Square[]

AJ[]


AJ (Japanese: アジェ) is a character in Aelio Town. She can be found standing next to Dali and eagerly welcomes the protagonist upon their first arrival. After listening to Garoa's lecture, she can no longer be spoken to and loses her nameplate.

Bosy[]


Bosy (Japanese: ボージ) is a character in Aelio Town known among the residents as an ARKS defender. He can be found peeking from behind a cargo container south of the main square fountain. Although wanting to gift the protagonist a welcome gift, he admits that he managed to lose the present after placing it in a container and forgetting where he put it. Bosy issues a tutorial teaching how to open item containers and equipping armor.

Dali[]


Dali (Japanese: ダリ) is a character in Aelio Town. He can be found standing next to AJ and eagerly greets the protagonist upon their first arrival. He later assures the protagonist that the town is so welcoming that they will feel at home in no time.

Juli[]


Juli (Japanese: ジュリ) is a character in Aelio Town. She can be found walking along a stone path west of the main square and welcomes the protagonist upon their first arrival. After listening to Garoa's lecture, she can no longer be spoken to and loses her nameplate. From then on, she continues to walk along the same path but now carries an herb basket with her.

Maurie (Japanese: モーリエ) is a character in Aelio Town. She stands next to Otto east of the main square and eagerly welcomes the protagonist upon their first arrival. After listening to Garoa's lecture, she can no longer be spoken to and loses her nameplate.

Nesca (Japanese: ネスカ) is a character in Aelio Town. He gains dialogue and a nameplate following Garoa's lecture, longingly wishing to be able to speak to Aina without worrying about the potential repercussions from her father.

When Dark Falz attacks the town, Nesca arms himself with a partisan.

In the introductory cutscene showing off the town, she can be seen walking along a stone path talking to a green-haired newman and then joins Garoa to welcome the protagonist to their town. Afterward, she stands in the main square among a group listening to the same green-haired newman. She appears to be in deep though, her hand closed and held near her chin.

Beachside[]

Figne[]


Figne (Japanese: ファイン) is a character that manages Aelio Town's combat training. Having heard rumors of a new recruit to town, she greets the protagonist and introduces herself. After accomplishing Ral's story objectives, Figne will teach the protagonist about using basic attacks to gain Photon Points, Photon Arts, and using skills on the back palette.

Figne: As a result, no one has been able to take it easy and fish here.
Figne: So, I have a request. Could you take out the enemies? It can double up as training.
Figne: I'll teach you about all sorts of ways to attack, and you can test them out on some live targets.

(screen fades white and the protagonist is faced with two Grulf Lores.)

Story Objective: Aelio Town - Defeat the enemies destroying the beach 0/2

Figne: First we've got a new way to use Photon Arts. Listen up and give it a go.
Figne: Store up your photons in your body, and then let it all out. Do it right and you'll unleash more powerful Photon Arts.
Figne: Charge it up and let it all out! The longer you charge up, the more potent the Photon Art will be.

Story Objective: Aelio Town - Listen to Figne 0/1

Figne: When you're low on photons inside your body, you might not be able to use your Photon Arts. When that happens, just wait a while to let the photons build up again.
Figne: If you're not the patient type, you can attack enemies without using Photon Arts to build up your photons quicker, too.
Figne: Next, I'm going to cover how to switch between different attacks quickly. Listen up and try to do as I say.

Story Objective: Aelio Town - Defeat the enemies destroying the beach 0/3

(when the three Agnis Lores are defeated, the screen fades to white and the scene returns back to a calm Aelio Town.)

Figne: Great work! Those were some nice moves! You recent Meteorn, Manon included, are really quick on the uptake.
Figne: Whenever you learn a new Photon Art, be sure to apply what you've learned here to it!
Figne: Here you go. Just make sure you're in top shape.

Rudy is a character in Aelio Town. She stands on the beach shore looking out toward the water with her arms crossed behind her back. When spoken to following Garoa's lecture, she admires the peacefulness of the day and confidently informs the protagonist of the town's ability to balance work and play.

Vil (Japanese: ビル) is a character in Aelio Town. He can be found walking along the beachside. When spoken to following Garoa's lecture, he tells the protagonist about his admiration of Garoa's leadership abilities.

Western Forest Area[]

Ral[]


Ral (Japanese: ラル) is a character in Aelio Town that can be found to the west of the main square. He sets up a training course for the protagonist following their arrival to the town to introduce basic features of combat, such as locking onto targets and Sidestep Strike.

Eastern Residential Area[]

Agri[]


Agri (Japanese: アグリ) is a character in Aelio Town that can be found constantly at work picking crops. Although Agri does not initially have spoken dialogue or nameplate upon first arriving in the town, he can be interacted with after receiving the lecture from Garoa. He mentions a cave north of town that can take the protagonist to Central City.

Agri: If you head on north out of town, you'll find a cave. Come out the other side of that and you'll find Central City.

Barry[]


Barry (Japanese: バリー) is a character in Aelio Town that supervises the vegetable fields at the east of town. Speaking to him during a certain story objective triggers a tutorial mission in which he teaches the protagonist about using skills in battle. Upon defeating the monsters attempting to ravage the fields, Barry is grateful and offers a plentiful amount of vegetables and a single Restasigne for the assistance.

Ernest (Japanese: アーネスト) is a character in Aelio Town who greets the protagonist upon their first arrival. He can be found walking along a stone road near the residential area to the east of the main square. Although Ernest has spoken dialogue and a nameplate upon first arriving in the town, he can no longer be interacted with after receiving the lecture from Garoa and his nameplate disappears. From then on, Ernest continues to walk along the same stone path but now carries lumber over his shoulder.

Izzy (Japanese: イジー) is a character in Aelio Town that can be found lounging lazily with his feet dangling in the air. He is at the side of a house overlooking some crop fields. Izzy muses to the protagonist about a food sold at Central City that can supposedly draw out a warrior's strength.
