Meseta is the universal currency commonly used in most Phantasy Star games in the franchise.

A player can hold up to 9,999,999 Meseta at one time and can store up to the same amount in the bank. When dropped on the ground, it appears as a golden diamond. It can be found inside containers across Ragol, from fallen monsters, or given as a reward for completing quests. Characters with the yellowbooze ID finds meseta most often.
