The Kusanagi (Japanese: 草薙) is a rare saber-type weapon found exclusively in Phantasy Star Online: Blue Burst. This weapon could be obtained on all difficulties for certain section IDs while the servers were still operational. See the drop chart below for more information.
Kusanagi can only be equipped by Hunters and Rangers. This weapon can give the wielder set bonuses depending on what it is paired with. If equipped as a set with Yata Mirror, attack speed will be boosted by 20%; ATA is boosted by +30 when equipped together with Yasakani Magatama; finally, the Proof of Sword-Saint rare unit coupled with Kusanagi increases ATA by +30 and EVP by +60, but lowers DFP by -20.
Drop Chart[]
Version 3+ includes the enhanced versions of the standard game that was rereleased onto the GameCube, XBox, and PC-exclusive Blue Burst. Kusanagi was only obtainable within the Crater, a Blue Burst exclusive zone.
