Krup (Japanese: クルップ) is a town on Motavia in Phantasy Star IV: The End of the Millennium. Krup is Hahn Mahlay's hometown, and his family still lives there. Hahn's fiancée Saya also lives there, where she runs a primary school from her home.
Story[]
Hahn initially does not want to return to Krup while he assists Alys and company in their mission to stabilize Motavia following a series of minor disturbances, citing a falling out with his parents over his career choice. He returns nonetheless and catches up with Saya in an optional scene, after which he continues with the party to face Zio.
When Alys is incapacitated by Zio's Black Energy Wave, Chaz takes point and leads the party back to Krup for her care. Hahn and Saya stay behind as the rest of the party, now including Demi, searches for Rune on Alys's advice. They meet Rune in the Ladea Tower south of Termi as he seeks the Psycho-wand to combat Zio. Rune successfully retrieves the wizardly rod after he and the party strike down a Gy-Laguiah sent to stop them. However, Rune receives a disturbing premonition and rushes the party back to Krup, where Alys succumbs to her grave injuries.
Overnight, Alys is interred as the entire party is left in shock. Chaz is hit especially hard and almost decides to quit, but Rika encourages him to press on and face Zio.
