The Gunner is a class introduced in Phantasy Star Online 2. It is a subset of the Ranger class that prefers to fight within close-range on the battlefield. Armed with high mobility and great support, Gunners are adept at high burst damage.

Barring Gunblade, the Gunner primarily wields two weapons.
- Twin Machine Gun: Highly mobile twin weapons that allow the Gunner to perform acrobatic feats with enough finesse to dodge the most lethal of attacks with a simple leap.
- Assault Rifle: Long-range alternative to the twin machine gun that grants safer positioning at the cost of mobility.
