Curious About Dolce (Japanese: 気になるドルチェさん) is the twelfth episode of the first season of the PSO2COMI Anime series. It was published to Youtube on March 26, 2019.
Plot[]
Story 1: Curious about someone[]
Mitarashi aimlessly wanders the lobby thinking about what quest to undertake when she hears Makino calling out to her. Mitarashi greets him by playfully joking with him about the day they first met. Makino's cat had hopped onto his keyboard when he stepped away which caused him to spew nonsense. Makino, embarrassed, tells her to stop bringing that up. Mitarashi then notices that he is accompanied by a female blue CAST. Makino introduces her as his good friend Dolce and invites her to come with them on their quest. Mitarashi greets her new companion when suddenly Makino informs everyone that he needs to clean up the drink he spilled in the real world. Strangely, Dolce also excuses herself. Based on the timing, Mitarashi awkwardly sits down and ponders to herself if they know each other in the real world or are possibly related.
Later, Makino makes it back and apologizes to the group. Mitarashi welcomes him back when suddenly Dolce also returns at the same time. Puzzled, Mitarashi quickly glances at both of them and dismisses that their going AFK was a coincidence. Makino, none the wiser, eagerly wonders what quest they will play.
Story 2: Curious about someone - Continued[]
Sitting on top of the quest counter ceiling, Mitarashi and Makino enjoy a chat together. Makino thanks her for helping him the other day on a quest and gushes about the fun times. Mitarashi uses this as an opportunity to ask for more information about Dolce. Makino considers for a moment and tells her that if he had a word to describe Dolce it would be that she is cool. She was actually the first person he befriended in PSO2 and it happened back when he first started. He had been incapacitated during an E-Code when Dolce suddenly appeared and blew the monsters away. She then approached the fallen Makino and revived him with a Moon Atomizer. They have been close friends ever since. Mitarashi thinks to herself that they must not be related after all.
Makino continues by praising how knowledgeable and reliable Dolce is about the game, often giving him pointers about class-specific abilities. She also knows about different campaigns, items, and if there is a sale in a store near his house. He happily recalls the time he was able to purchase a cheap tomato. Mitarashi, now utterly confused, asks if they are close in real life. Makino, still clueless, tells her he does not think so, however, Mitarashi is now confident that they must be. Somehow...
