Ruoginin (Japanese: ルオギニン), localized as Burger, is a healing item exclusive to the original Phantasy Star and Phantasy Star Generation 1, its PlayStation 2 remake.
Appearance[]
In the Japanese version of the game, ruoginin is a clear liquid contained within a round glass bottle that opens from the side. The letters inscribed on its label spell "RUGNIGN." When the game was localized to the west, this item was changed to a fast food burger.
Usage[]
Ruoginin recovers its user's health by 40 hit points upon being consumed.

Burger can be purchased from most fast food shops in Phantasy Star for 40 meseta each. The meal will recover 40 hit points to the person who consumes it in battle or in the overworld.
Trivia[]
- Ruoginin may be based on Arginine V, a Japanese energy drink. The katakana is very similar to the item found in the game: アルギニン v for Arginine V versus ルオギニン for ruoginin.[1]
- Ruoginin may also be a play on the word arginine, an amino acid.[1]
