Aina (Japanese: アイナ) is a major character in Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis. As the daughter of one of the greatest ARKS defenders of Halpha, Aina aspires to prove herself to become just as strong and capable.
Beaming with an outgoing and cheerful personality, Aina is one of the first people that the Meteorn meets upon first arriving on Halpha. Following the destruction of her hometown, Aina travels with them and another Meteorn named Manon under the guidance of Crawford to discover a means to destroy Dark Falz and the DOLLS once and for all.

Appearance[]
Aina has a tanned complexion, red eyes, and long dark blue hair tied back in a side ponytail with a large cowlick at the top of her head. Her bangs fan out across her head covering the front of both of her ears.
Aina's outfit reflects the openness of her personality. She wears a white dress with blue and gray accents that parts underneath her breast, revealing her stomach. She has matching arm guards, shorts, and boots. The lower half of her dress has a tribal design and is colored orange, with a matching shawl of the same color wrapped around her neck. Aina wears a headband of a similar color scheme as her dress with a large yellow and pink striped ribbon affixed to the left edge.
Personality[]
Aina is a cheerful, upbeat, and naive companion. Although she tries to maintain a strong exterior, in reality, she is terrified that she is not strong enough to fight side by side with others, fearing that she will hold others back from their full potential. She will use this bright personality as a facade even in moments of duress, as seen when her emotions tensed up and she froze in terror against the Nogleth. Despite this, Aina leans on her friends for support, and it is through their shared trials and tribulations that she aspires to grow into a strong and capable fighter.
Other Appearances[]
Central![]
Aina makes several appearances in the online webcomic, Central! She has a reputation among the Central City operators as heading a special forces team that follows under the direct orders of Crawford. Despite the busy schedule, Aina manages to find time to rest and relax while out and about.
Aina's debut appearance is in Episode 7: Man of Destiny as a background character. When one of the Central operators bemoans being too busy to find a soulmate, fellow operator Ran assures her that her special someone may just happen to fall out of the sky just as what happened to Aina and Manon one fateful day on the beachside.
In Episode 16: Holy Night for Everyone, Aina and Manon bump into the Central girls by chance and all agree to meet up and celebrate the festivities together, planning to enjoy cake and open presents. Unbeknownst to all of them, Dozer hovers in the background listening in on their holiday plans.
Later in Episode 31: Behind the Defense, Aina and Manon are relaxing when they are summoned to participate in a defense mission in the Aelio region. Upon arriving at the dig site, the two wonder amongst themselves the purpose of such a device. A fellow ARKS member from Central City named Raskina joins their group think session, suggesting that perhaps the mining rig is digging for grinders by smashing rappies caught by the machine underground. Aina and Manon counter that it would be more efficient to dig for minerals, instead. Raskina agrees that her suggestion would probably lead to overhunting and eventual extinction of the rappies but grimly adds that the machine, regardless of its use, is disturbing the creatures' natural habitat.
